A homeowner has left people freaked out after revealing a secret “lair” in his house.
The man, known as @sancho483 on TikTok, took part in a popular trend that asks users to show off the one feature in their house that everyone finds “so cool”.
In a video that has been viewed more than 800,000 times on the social media platform, the man pans around a large elegant room before heading over to a wooden bookshelf.
But as he reaches it, he takes hold of one of the decorative posts and twists it.
As he does so, a hidden door in front of him opens revealing a spiral staircase.
After making his way down the stairs, he shows a tunnel that is dimly lit with lanterns on the wall.
He then turns into a vast space which he explains is currently under construction.
Since being posted, the video has received more than 180,000 likes and almost 3,000 comments from impressed viewers.
One commented: “SECRET TUNNELLLLL! SECRET TUNNEEEELLLLL!”
Another joked: “HIDDEN MURDER DUNGEON, sorry I’ve been watching too much of Criminal Minds.”
“I watch too many movies to know that’s most likely where a serial killer is hiding,” wrote a third.
One person said: “I don’t even have a broom cupboard and y’all got an entire secret lair.”
A fifth then commented: “Welcome to my house touuUuurrr…. this is the sacrificial rooommm SO cute, the lighting is a mood, but we’re updating the walls.”
